Getting Started

Create a free account to begin using the online rating system.
Everything is accomplished by logging into your registered account.
Paid subscriptions provide access to the premium features and additional options.
Step 1: Create your account by clicking on the [SIGN UP NOW] button located on the homepage.
Step 2: You are prompted to enter a Company name, Email(it is you unique username) and password to create an account.
After an account is created - you will be redirected to "Create New Rating Box" page, you can always return to that page under the Setup > Create New Rating Box.
NOTE: The password field is case sensitive.
Once you begin designing your RatingBox on the Setup > Create New Rating Box page.
1. Type the ratingbox Name text into the provided textbox(Use more generic name that can be used for all products in the same category).
2. Type the ratingbox Description text into the provided textbox (Description text will be used for [?] popup tips).
3. Choose to add any of the additional features, e.g., custom questions, set to required fields, etc.
4. Click the [Save] button when you are finished.
5. You will be redirected to the Setup > Active Widgets page, where you can get a code for diffrent widgets styles/modes.
NOTE: We recommend to create one ratingbox per product category and reuse the same widget for all your products in the same category.
Your company administrator/moderator can edit ratings and reviews at any time to correct spelling, add tags, recategorize(future development), or simple re-write a review. To Edit a review or rating, find a review using "Report by date range" report, click the “Edit” icon.
NOTE: All reviews must be approved before listing.
At any time, you can edit or permanently delete ratings and reviews. Deleting a review will not remove all ratings, you need to delete ratings if needed too. Once deleted, a review or ratings cannot be restored. To delete a review or rating, find a review using "Report by date range" report, click the “Delete” icon and confirm the deletion.

To upgrade to any paid subscription, go to Billing > Upgrade page, click the [Upgrade and Activate] button, provide your credit card information and click "Save" button. Or after login to your account click "Pricing" icon on the top of the page, choose a plan and click "Pay Now" button to procceed with payment - PLEASE USE THIS METHOD. As a paid subscriber, you will have access to the premium features and additional options once we receive payment.
NOTE: The password field is case sensitive.

You have the ability to view and print all invoices from within your registered account. To do so, please refer to the following:
All invoices are located under the Billing > Payments and Invoices.
There you will see a list of your invoices.
Click on the Invoice Number to open and print it.
YES. All accounts renew automatically until a cancellation request is made before the renewal date.

My Account

Administrators may determine a list of banned words that, if typed, will not appear in the review.
Spam Filter is located on the My Company Info page.
This setting will allow the administrator to restrict access to designated IP addresses.
IP Filter is located on the My Company Info page.
Rating System permits the export of your data at any point. Full CSV formatted export of all users and reviews in the system. This is used by organizations for backup and archiving purposes. The administrator can export the information at any time.
Our notification system can alert you of new ratings, reviews, questions and answers depending on your preferences. This feature is available for any paid subscription.

We give our customers an option to use bayesian formula to calculate average rating. The bayesian average is a statistical technique used to reduce the noise due to low sample counts. In effect, the less item has votes, the more it is pulled towards Initial Average. We calculate a rating of an item based on the "believability" of the votes. The greater the certainty based on the number of votes, the more the Bayesian rating approximates the plain, unweighted rating. When there are very few votes, the bayesian rating of an item will be closer to the average rating of all items.

General

Rating System is a web based application. It's a completely hosted. This means that there is no software to install. You can access our system from any computer with internet access.
The Rating System solution was built to scale horizontally in order to meet potential future requirements.

Rating System is built on both flexible hardware and software platforms to maximize future extensibility.
Tags are admin-defined keywords that help organize and unite reviews and ratings with similar topics. Tags indicate trends in the content of your community. Any word or phrase can be a tag, and each company may use tags in different ways. Administrator/moderators need to organize tags by your company products/services categories upfront. You can add some objective tags to a certain shop you like such as shopping, shoes. You can also add more subjective keywords such as my favorite brand, good materials, etc. Keywords help you and others find reviews. You can tag review with a couple of words that relate to the topic.
Categories are company-defined groups of products or services. While not mandatory, an organization may choose to customize them. Categories allow your organization to run filters on a ratings and reviews, allowing you the chance to see what is happening on that group of products/services. An administrator can create, edit or delete categories for your organization.

Privacy and Security

If you are concerned about security, we offer SSL encryption for your rating system. SSL Encryption is available for Platinum subscription plans.
Rating System is the owner of the tools used to build rating system and analyze data. You are the sole owner of, and are accountable for, the information created and collected using our system. Please abide by our terms of use at all times. To review our terms, click on the Terms of Use link in the footer of our home page.
NOTE: We will not use your system, or the information collected from your system, in any way other than as described in our Privacy Policy. We will make every effort to ensure that whatever information you provide will be maintained in a secure environment.
We also offer an enhanced SSL encryption package to protect your ratings and reviews during transmission.

Reports, Analyzing Results

We have completed several new feature enhancements to our dashboard of administrator analytics that will provide deeper insight into your properties. The new dashboard gives you a snapshot of the widget performance: pageviews, ratings and reviews count. PageViews – Shows you how many people visited your site where the widget is installe. Ratings – This report shows how many ratings you received for specified date range. Reviews – This report shows how many reviews you received for specified date range. Detailed reports provide more details for above categories.

Rating System Customization

Administrators may select a different style and color theme for the ratingboxes. Should your rating system have a custom branded theme, we will adjust these settings or customize your theme completely to reflect this preference and match your website look and feel.
Usually customization cost 100-300$, depends on comlexity, if you send us mockup(jpg) of your future rating system - we will give you an estimate.
