Our website has a new look.
We have just completed our website redesign.
Our ambition is to help our user.
We've also made other basic improvements. We've cleaned up the layout, simplified the navigation, improved reporting, notification and made it easier to find.
We invite you to explore some of the new features in detail and write us to let us know what you think.

System reliability and new rating widgets
Over the years, Rating System responsibilities have grown considerably while the number of staff members has remained relatively unchanged.
Thousands of companies of every size are using Rating System and want ability to reliably
recover much more effectively and efficiently.
Today we are happy to announce our backup process is fully managed and runs automatically two times per day.
Fully auotmated service backup and recovery enables us to reduce IT resources while improving data
protection and disaster preparedness.
Now we backup your SQL database daily twice and store the backups in case we need them.

Announcing New Exciting Features
The service is growing fast and becoming more sophisticated every month.
Our Facebook Integration is a natural extension to the existing rating-system.com login.
And we won’t stop here, we promise :)
With this new addition, you can log in with FaceBook and share your ratings and reviews.
New Features

Blogger Style Rating widgets are a useful way of getting instant feedback from your readers, on the quality of your blog posts,
web pages, videos and pictures, comments or what ever content that you want rated - if you do not want any sophisticated features we provide.
How to Add Ratings to Your Site:
- You will have to log into rating-system.com.
- Go to "Setup" page and click "Create New Rating Box"
- Please choose "Simple Blogger Style Rating", modify stars, dimension name, rating comments. And Save your widget
- On a "Active RatingBox(s) page click "Simple Blogger Style Rating" to get your widget code
- You might want to modify the embedded code to identify an item in your page (like a post in a blog).
For this purpose replace the 'window.location.href' part with the permalink URL of the item(product, blog) that's being rated.
Example:
var r_itemid=encodeURIComponent('http://www.yourdomain.com/product.aspx?id=10001');
- Embed code and Voila!
On the widget builder page you can enter a name for your rating, for instance if you were going to use this widget for
your posts on your blog, you could call it 'Blog Posts Rating'.
Choose different stars, styles, etc.. - you customize the look and feel of your rating widget.
And also localize all of the text in your rating.

Service Upgrade, Release Notes

Here are the highlights
"Verified Member" implementation
Admins now have an ability to verify users and mark them as
"Verified"
Verified Member icon is used to identify reviewers so that
readers better understand their credibility, assure readers that review is
coming from real person - not spammer who tries to submit fake reviews into the
system.
A Verified Member is a person who has confirmed their email
address. This is intended to identify people who are submitting reviews using
their real email addresses.

Bayesian Average as an option
We added another option for our paid customers to calculate average rating - Bayesian Average. The bayesian average is a statistical technique used to reduce the noise due to low sample counts.
In effect, the less item has votes, the more it is pulled towards Initial Average.
This is a mathematical term that calculates a rating of an item based
on the “believability” of the votes. The greater the certainty based on
the number of votes, the more the Bayesian rating approximates the
plain, unweighted rating. When there are very few votes, the bayesian
rating of an item will be closer to the average rating of all items.

Today we announced new Rating system version
Today we announced new version of a revolutionary, fully-hosted, online service which enables any web site to implement customer ratings and reviews, quickly and easily, using configurable "rating widgets." No expensive software or extensive programming is needed. This new service, available at www.Rating-System.com, is gaining rapid acceptance.
Rating-System.com makes it possible for any web site, even existing 'static' sites, to implement star ratings with comments.
